Thomas McGuane, American author, will be here in Sacramento on April 6th: Here's what I have to say to him: "Tom,my name is Bill Hughes. I was a seasonal park ranger in Yellowstone. I would see you at Chico Hot Springs. I am very proud to see you here in Sacramento.Pride, because you, for me,along with Richard Brautigan,represent the Shakespeare & Co. of my generation, a generation known almost exclusively for rock n roll; but, I'm always proud to say that your 92 In The Shade is The Sun Also Rises of my generation. I admire your work and truly appreciate your time and place in American literature.
