Oscar Weekend In Los Angeles

First, the weather was a real privilege, clear and cold and green -- make Athens blush -- snowy mountain tops and rolling surf -- the best -- view from atop Baldwin Hills Scenic State Park--  on a clear day you "can see forever..." Went to the Independent Spirit Awards on the Santa Monica Beach, meaning at the rail. But the stars came over--Mark Ruffalo, Aaron Eckhart -- and Annette Benning & Warren Beatty -- most cool.. Went to the Razzies -- amateurish high-jinks but fun.. Oscars--how awful to drag out Kirk Douglas -- Franco & Hathaway stunk.. Bring me the head of Billy Crystal...Excellent Eric Owen Moss architecture in Culver City [ look em up ]. Oh, Airbender, of course, led the way at the Razzies -- with Sex In The City 2 a distant 2nd. And, saw the new Jerry West statue out in front of the Staples. Not bad but a little too impressionistic -- straight up polished bronze much better, along with Magic & Oscar de...
